Submersible &

Bore Pumps

Submersible pumps are one of the most efficient pumping options available if you need to pump liquid from a large body of water.

Submersible Pumps and Controller

When to use a submersible water pump

When your water source is a large body of water like a bore or dam

When your water source is deep under the ground like a well
To provide drinking water for livestock or irrigation for farms

What is a Submersible Pump?

A submersible pump is a pump that can be fully submerged in water. The motor is protected from the water and allow the change of water under high and low temperature conditions. Additionally, the motor is close-coupled to the body of the pump.

Submersible pumps are one of the most efficient pumping options available if you need to pump liquid from a large body of water.

How do submersible pumps work?

A submersible pump works by sucking water  from underneath into the pump and pushing that water to the surface. It converts rotational energy into kinetic energy to move large volumes of water from one region to another.

While most other water pumps are positioned outside of the body of water, then pulling water to the surface, submersible pumps are submerged in water.

Benefits of LORENTZ Submersible Pumps

One of the most common types of solar pump is the submersible bore pump. These pumps are used in boreholes or wells with a depth of up to 250 metres. The cost of a solar bore pump system is directly proportional to the required litres per day and the vertical lift (also known as head).

A low vertical lift combined with a moderate water flow rate requires a lot less power. In other words, you can use less solar panels. This will help you save money on extra materials, as well as reduce less equipment to maintain. However, if your water pipes are long, narrow, and/or the flow rate is high, pipe friction will also need to be considered.

FAQs
How long do submersible and bore pumps last?

High-quality submersible bore pump systems can last 10 years or more  If they are sized correctly, installed to the correct specifications and the water is of suitable quality.

How much are submersible and bore pumps?

Submersible pumps costS hugely vary depending on your individual requirements. To understand specifically the cost of the pump for your requirements, get in touch with your closest dealer or with us to put you in touch with the dealer closest to your location. We have provided dealers with very the latest software to help you accurately understand the costs for your requriements.

What size submersible/bore pump do I need?

One of the ways to sizing a submersible pump is to calculate the litres per minute of water required during peak periods. We recommend sizing a submersible/bore pump based on the number of fixtures and faucets you’ll have installed at your farm.
