When to use a surface pump?

When you have a water source such as a pond, tank, spring, shallow well or river / creek

LORENTZ Solar only pumps generate max flow rate of up to 79m³ an hour

LORENTZ Hybrid Solar pumps generate max flow rate of up to 240m³ an hour
What is a surface pump?
Surface pumps are built to pump water from surface water sources such as ponds, tanks, springs, or shallow wells or rivers /creeks.
Typically, they are either diaphragm or rotary vane pumps and can be powered by solar for a simple, inexpensive operation.
How do surface pumps work?
A surface pump motor powers impellers, which then drives the water upward. When the pump system starts, the impellers will begin to spin, which sucks the water into the pump. Afterwards, the water will get pushed through the body of the pump and finally into a storage tank on the ground’s surface.
LORENTZ have a range of products and accessories which help you control how much water is pumped from a surface pump
The complete solution

Pumping water uses a significant amount of power. The sun provides us with an almost infinite energy source that, with the right planning and equipment, means we can pump water anywhere without the needs for power infrastructure.

PS2 is an advanced solar water pumping system. The system is designed specifically to use the power of the sun to move water, so replacing the need for grid power or diesel.

As solar power is not consistent through the day then PS2 constantly changes the pump parameters to optimize the amount of water available.

Being designed as an off-grid solar water pumping system, PS2 has all of the inputs and outputs needed in an integrated self-managing system.

PS2 systems are the most efficient available, delivering 30 % to over 1,000 % more water than the competitors’ products depending on weather conditions.

Lorentz Surface Water Pumps
PS2 Centrifugal Solar Pump Systems
LORENTZ PS2 pumps are high quality products designed for drinking, demote / remove drinking water supply, livestock watering, pond management and irrigation applications. PS2 pump systems deliver water economically, cleanly and reliably, anywhere.
Max. flow rate: 79 m3/hour
Max. lift: 450 m

PSK CENTRIFUGAL SOLAR PUMP SYSTEMS
LORENTZ PSk systems are our next generation of solar water pumps designed to deliver the highest volume of water across a wide range of lifts.
PSk pumps perform equally well in irrigation projects and for wide area of drinking water applications where they reliably meet the most demanding requirements, economically and without the use of fossil fuels or a grid connection. For applications that demand longer or constant pumping hours, hybrid options are possible.
PSk3, and PSk2 together with SmartPSU, blend power sources seamlessy and only top up what is needed from grid or diesel thus minimizing cost for the customer.
Max. flow rate: 240 m3/hour
Max. lift: 140 mh
PS2 Solar Booster Pumping Systems
LORENTZ PS boost pumps are high quality products designed for higher pressure, low flow clean water boost applications. Boost pumps are typically used to pressurise water supplies. PS boost pumps provide high water pressures economically, without pollution, anywhere.
